Updating your APN settings on Android (Dark Star)
Your APN connects your phone to mobile data. If you got an email from us asking you to update your APN, follow the steps below. It takes about two minutes.
Steps
The exact path to APN settings varies by phone, but Access Point Names is always the destination.
- Open Settings on your phone.
- Go to Connections (Samsung) or Network & internet (Pixel and most other Android phones).
- Select Mobile networks or Cellular networks.
- Select Access Point Names.
- Select the menu icon (⋮) and choose Reset to default. This removes any existing APN settings that could conflict with the new one.
- Select the menu icon (⋮) again and choose New APN, or select the + button.
- Enter each value from the APN settings table below, exactly as shown.
- Select the menu icon (⋮) and choose Save.
- Select the circle next to Darkstar to set it as your active APN.
- Turn airplane mode on, then off. This re-registers your phone on the network.
Your data connection should come back within a few seconds.
Don't skip step 5. Old APN settings can prevent your data from working even after you've added the new one.
