Where can I buy a US Mobile SIM card?

You can order a US Mobile Starter kit here. We don't offer our SIMs at retail outlets, yet.

Can I keep my phone number?

You can keep your existing number when switching to US Mobile as long as it's still in service and not under contract.

You'll also need the account number and PIN from your carrier. If you're unsure where to find this information, we'll help you out!

Will my device work with US Mobile?

Any unlocked device that has a SIM card slot will most likely work with US Mobile. Between our two networks, we support a wide variety of phones, tablets and smartphones.

How do I activate my US Mobile SIM card?

Activating your SIM card is straightforward and only takes a few minutes. Start here:

  1. Create, or sign in, to your US Mobile account.
  2. Pick the network you'd like to use. You can read about the difference in networks here.
  3. Enter the SIM card number.
  4. Pick a new number, or let us know which number you'd like to keep.
  5. Build a plan that fits your needs.
  6. Fill in your billing information and preferences, and submit.

And then, insert the US Mobile SIM card into your device and restart it. That's it! If you need help along the way, you can reach us right away on any page via the chat button in the bottom right corner or by calling us.

Configuring your device?

Configuring your device to start enjoying US Mobile is simple and quick.

If you activated a Super LTE SIM, all you have to do is insert the SIM and restart your device. If you activated a GSM LTE SIM you'll need to update your APN configuration. It's simple, only takes 2-3 minutes and we'll guide you through each step in our Configuring your Device page.

Rates & Plans

How do I choose a plan?

US Mobile offers fully customizable plans to fit your personal needs. Select any combination of talk, text, and data to create your own plan. Not sure what you need? Don't worry, you can always come back to top or adjust your plan. We'll never charge any overage fees.

How do I build a plan?

You pick and choose the exact combination of minutes, texts, and data that you think you need. Or pick one of our Unlimited Plans if you're not sure. Also, in case you use more minutes, texts or data than you thought, and are running out you can always add Top Ups.

Can I share a plan across multiple lines?

We do not offer plan sharing at the moment.

Does my plan roll over?

Unused talk, text, and data from your base plan do not roll over to your next billing cycle.

Unused minutes, texts, and data from Top Ups do roll over to your next billing cycle. The way they roll over depends on the network you are on.

On our GSM LTE Network, minutes, texts, and data from Top Ups last 30 days from the date they were added to your line, regardless of when the base plan ends. Keep in mind, that you do need an active line (with a base plan) to have service and be able to use the unused minutes, texts, or data from Top Ups.

On our Super LTE Network, minutes, texts, and data from Top Ups roll over into the next billing cycle's base plan as long as AutoPay is enabled. This means that your line has to have a base plan with minutes for unused minutes from the Top Up to roll over in to, a base plan with texts for the unused texts from the Top Up to roll over in, and a base plan with data for the unused data from the Top Up to roll over in to.

Does my Plan include International Calling?

US Mobile customers can receive international calls, but cannot make outbound international calls. Roaming is currently not available.

Where can I view my usage and manage my top ups?

Log in to My Account to view your usage. If you are running low on talk, text, or data simply "Add More" from your dashboard in three quick clicks. Top ups are valid for 30 days.

Is it free to call 1-800 numbers?

While you will not be charged a long-distance calling fee for dialing 800 numbers, you are using minutes on your plan. Contact US Mobile's 24/7 Customer Support for free by dialing 611.

How are minutes charged?

US Mobile bills minutes in 60 second increments. This means that a call for 1 minute and 10 seconds will appear on your billing statement as a 2-minute call.

Is US Mobile available in my area?

We run on the two largest and fastest nationwide networks in the US, so you can talk, text, browse and stream at remarkable speeds no matter where you are (in the US). You could read more about our networks here, or contact our 24/7 customer support for more details.

Will my phone get 4G LTE data?

Both of our networks can provide 4G LTE connectivity to your device, as long as your device is 4G LTE compatible and there is coverage in your area. If you're not sure about your device you reach out to us 24/7 and we'll be able to find out if your device is compatible.

What internationals plans does US Mobile offer?

We do not offer international roaming coverage at this time.

Billing

Which credit cards are accepted for monthly billing and purchases?

US Mobile accepts all credit or debit cards. We also offer Auto Pay for safe and convenient bill payment.

How am I billed for incoming calls and text messages?

Both, outgoing and incoming calls use minutes. Calls that go to your voicemail don't use any minutes, neither does checking our voicemail.

Similarly for text messages, both incoming and outgoing messages use up your texts. A text message over the 160 character limit will be broken down into chunks of 153 characters before being sent or received.

When is my invoice balance due?

We are a prepaid carrier, which means you pay up-front for 30 days. After 30 days of service you can renew the plan you had or pick a new one. To help remind you when your line expires, our dashboard displays the number of days till your line expires, we email you three billing reminders, and even let you set up Auto Pay which automatically renews your line every 30 days (with whichever plan you choose).

How do I restore my account if I miss a payment?

Things happen, and you missed a payment. It's not an issue. On your account dashboard, click on More Details below your expired line to go to the overview page for that line. Once there, click Renew My Plan on the left to make a payment and restore your line.

How does Auto Pay work?

Auto Pay automatically orders a plan that you picked, and charges your credit card 2 days before the end of your billing cycle to keep the line active. Most US Mobile users choose Auto Pay because it's the easiest way to alway renew plans on time.

What happens if I use all my minutes, text, or data?

The corresponding service stops. If you need more minutes, texts or data you can always log in to your dashboard and add Top Ups. There are no limits for how many time you can add a Top Up or any extra fees.

Are there any hidden fees with US Mobile?

No. We believe in nothing less than delighting our customers with a phenomenal experience. Hiding fees is fundamentally wrong and hinders our ability to delight our customers. We will never charge hidden fees.

If we have to charge you for something you will be able to see it before you choose to pay for it. Right now, there are 2 types of fees that we have to charge. The first one is the monthly service fee of $2. The second on is taxes, regulatory fees or government mandated surcharges that are consolidated into the Regulatory cost recovery fee. These are clearly displayed in your order summary before you pay.

Common Issues

Why am I getting 'No Service' on my phone?

Try powering your phone off, waiting 30 seconds, then powering back on again. If that doesn't help, try moving around or step outside for a bit to help your device regain signal. Click here to chat with tech support if you continue to face issues.

Why is my data not working?

Please make sure to add APN settings when you first start using US Mobile. You can find detailed instructions for iPhones, Android phones and Windows phones.

Why am I not receiving US Mobile emails?

Make sure that you have the correct email address listed on your account and that you have confirmed your email address. Also be sure to check the spam folder in your email account. If you earlier unsubscribed, you'll need to update your notification preferences by clicking the 'Manage Email Preferences' link in the last billing email you received. If you're still having trouble, reach out to us and we'll help you get to the bottom of it.

Why is MMS not working?

Have you followed all the steps to set up MMS? If you've tried doing that and it is still not working try these steps:

  • Make sure you have sufficient balance for texts and data.
  • Check to see if your phone's cellular data is enabled, and WiFi is turned off.
  • Ensure that the the attachment doesn't exceed 1 MB in size for GSM, or 1200 KB for Super LTE.
  • On iOS, make sure that Send as SMS is toggled ON under Settings > Messages.
  • On Android, try using the phone's default texting application and remove any extra APN Profiles under Settings > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names.

Getting Started

Configuring your device?

To start enjoying US Mobile's data plans, you might need to configure your device after activating your US Mobile SIM Card.

How do I activate my US Mobile SIM card?

Activation is quick and easy. Visit https://www.usmobile.com/activate to complete the activation process. Make sure you have your SIM card on hand, as you'll need the SIM ICCID for activation.

Once you arrive on the activation page, fill in the following information:

  1. Enter your SIM ICC ID # [found on your SIM card]
  2. Zip code [your home address]
  3. Email address
  4. First name and last name
  5. A password of your choice (your account will be created with your email address as the user name).
  6. Create your plan
    • Select any combination of talk, text, and data to build your custom plan. Not sure what you need? Don't worry, you can always come back to top off or adjust your plan.
  7. Make your payment
    • Billing Address [as it appears on the bank statement of your card]
    • Credit Card Details
  8. Agree to the Terms and Conditions

You're all set! Give it a few minutes while our elfs get to work customizing your plan. Insert SIM card into your phone and start saving with US Mobile.

Miscellaneous

Does my plan include conference calling?

Both of our networks support conference calling, as long as your device is compatible. Please note that minutes will be used for all calls until you end one call. For example, if you talk for 10 minutes on a 3-way call, 20 minutes of talk time will be used from your balance.

Does US Mobile offer Visual Voicemail?

Our Super LTE network currently offers Visual Voicemail on iPhones only. You need both talk and data plans to be able to take advantage of it.

Can I cancel my service?

US Mobile is 100% contract free, so if you choose to leave us, all you need to do is disable the Auto Pay and remove the US Mobile SIM card from your phone. Your service will end automatically at the expiration of the billing cycle and will stay that way unless you decide to renew it.

Will I lose my number if I cancel my service?

A number on GSM LTE can be disconnected automatically 30 days after service expires or is cancelled. On Super LTE, a number can be disconnected 50 days after service expires or is cancelled.

If you’d like to be able to keep your number without a plan, you can set up the Auto Pay without any plans, thus letting the line be renewed every automatically every 30 days with just the monthly service fee + taxes.

Can US Mobile unlock my phone?

We can only unlock AT&T phones. The unlocking fee is $15, which is refundable after 6 months of being an active US Mobile subscriber. You can place the request here. (Please note that we do not provide unlocking services for under contract devices or iCloud locked devices)
