My Data Isn’t Working

First, check to see if you have WiFi turned off and cellular data turned on. Most phones prefer a WiFi connection and only use cellular data if WiFi is not available.

For Android:

  • To turn off WiFi, pull down the notification tray by sliding your finger down from the top of the screen, then tap the WiFi toggle switch. Alternatively you can tap the Settings icon in your app menu and turn WiFi off from there.
  • To turn on Mobile Data, pull down the notification tray by sliding your finger down from the top of the screen, then tap the Mobile Data toggle switch. Most Android phones also have the Mobile data option under Settings > Data Usage or Settings > More > Mobile/Cellular Networks

For iPhones/iPads:

  • You can disable WiFi by going to Settings > WiFi and tapping the WiFi On/Off switch
  • To turn on Cellular Data, go to Settings > Cellular/Mobile data and set the Cellular/Mobile Data switch to the ON position
  • You should also scroll down and check if the app you’re trying to use is allowed to use Cellular Data

If you’re on the GSM LTE network, you may also need to configure your device with the correct Access Point Name or APN. You’ll find detailed instructions here. Just be sure to restart your device after you’ve made the changes and you’ll be all set!

For Super LTE, APN configuration is not required. If you continue to face issues, chat with our support team. They’re available 24/7 here.

something is missing in the direction to activate the mobile data for android phone. on the APN type I do not have the option to select “admin”

    1. You can ignore the options your phone doesn’t have. The most important information for Android phones is Name, APN and MMSC

    1. There are some facts related to data that directly affect your device’s MMS capability:

MMS use data, please confirm if your data services are working fine.
MMS message size should not be more than 1 MB as thats the carrier limit.
Data speed should be good when downloading MMS content. If your data speed is fluctuating or low, problems with MMS can occur.
Please also confirm if there is only one APN setting configured according to the instructions given here and activated.
On top of that, If there are inactive APN settings you may need to delete them (This is one of the most common issues that affect your device’s MMS capability).
In the APN settings, make sure that MMSC field has the link http://pwg.mmsmvno.com/mms/wapenc
