How how how can that be??!! This is the year 2016, and I can’t set basic options like the number of rings!
Actually I too want to turn off voicemail completely. I am aghast to read I don’t have a choice.

      1. At the moment we are in process of improving it and will definitely provide more liberty to edit voicemail options. However if you are looking to turn it off completely, please contact us via chat or call and we can help you with it.

        1. Robert Robert

No you can’t. I just called and asked for it to be turned off completely and was told it is impossible.
It’s aggravating to get conflicting information. Obviously either the CS Team member who wrote the previous post, or the employee I just spoke to on the phone, doesn’t know what they’re talking about.

          1. Alright let me try to clear this problem as much as I can. From the parent carrier, we have a limitation or you can say a requirement that all numbers should have the Voicemail set up. So what we do for those customers who don’t want it, we disable it from our side but again the numbers keep syncing from the parent carrier’s network from time to time (roughly once a quarter). When the numbers get synced, voicemail automatically gets enabled. To some people, this is alright but sometimes it becomes inconvenience for the customers to call us again to disable it.

I have checked your account and I can confirm that the voicemail on your account can be disabled. But again, this might just get automatically enabled from time to time so you may have to contact us again to get it done. Again I apologize for the confusion and the delay in response. At US Mobile, we try our best to keep it transparent as much as we can. I hope this is understandable.

Thanks for the explanation. It does indeed sound like there’s no convenient solution till your whole system gets revamped. To briefly explain *why* I don’t want your voicemail enabled: I use my USMobile number as a forwarding line for Google Voice. Google Voice’s voicemail is frankly superior to yours so I want to use it exclusively. When your voicemail kicks in it interferes with Google Voice’s operation, causing me frustration and a real mess.
I’ll give some thought to whether I want to be bothered with going through a quarterly exercise of calling and re-disabling your voicemail.

I called them and they did it (disable voicemail) for me

  1. We are not offering visual voicemail feature at the moment. Its on our development road-map and will be available in the future.

  2. Don Don

You can disable voicemail by dialing ##002# on your phone. That disables all call forwarding so no calls will go to voicemail. I use Google Voice for voicemail so I disabled it on the cellphone side.

    1. Robert D. Rosenbaum Robert D. Rosenbaum

I wish that were the solution, but if your cell phone is turned off, out of range, or in airplane mode, the US Mobile voicemail kicks in immediately, without even trying to ring the phone. Google Voice doesn’t have a chance.

Why was my comment on this post deleted? It was pertinent.

Change my previous comment to “How long does a post remain “awaiting moderation”? I posted the above comment weeks ago.

        1. Sorry Robert,

Our online forum is still new and we were facing problems recently and for that I apologize, just approved all your comments

Tried ##002#, didn’t work. Saw some bunch of failure messages..

    1. If you are looking to get it completely disabled, unfotunately, this cannot be done at the moment. To disable the service temporarily, please call us or send us an email at [email protected] since there is a verification process involved so we won’t be able to resolve it here.

Chatted with CS team. They initially said it’s not possible, then asked me to try #004#. Unfortunately that didn’t work either. They said they would get back to me. Not having visual voice mail is so so inconvenient. Was hoping google voice can save me from depression of switching to service that doesn’t have VVM, but not having much luck …

  5. Ken Ken

I just tried to set up voice mail and I got a message saying it was not available for users roaming on T-Mobile’s network! Please get this fixed! Something as basic as this should not be an issue. It almost makes want to consider another carrier.

    1. Ken, I would suggest to contact us via chat or email providing your number so our support team can try to fix that for you. You can chat with us by using chat widget at bottom right on this page or you could email us at [email protected]

  6. Kathy Kathy

I’m glad visual voicemail is in the works. Can you provide a rough estimate as to how far into the future it may be? Thanks.

    1. We cannot promise the exact time frame at the moment but we are looking at Q4 2016 to add a lot more features as well as improving our coverage map with more ground. At the moment our primary target is to improve our coverage.

      1. Steve Steve

It’s Q3 2019 now, any update on this? For Android users?

        1. We now have Visual Voicemail for both iPhone and Android users on our Super LTE network. Click the chat button at the bottom right to learn how you can get it activated on your line.

  7. Mat Mat

I’m getting a warning that voicemail doesn’t work for non-tmobile users roaming on the tmobile network. What am I missing?

    1. Mat,

I am sorry for the delay in response, best bet would be to contact us by dialing 611 from your US Mobile number, or by initiating chat with us from bottom right of this page so we can try and resolve this in a live environment.

    Hi,
I’m trying to set up my voicemail box, but when I get to the menu the only options are to access an existing mailbox (I tried putting my number in under that option, but it says it’s invalid) or to leave a message for another number. Help, please?

    Thank you!

    1. Faith,

Thank you for reaching ou to us. US Mobile’s customer support will reach out to you on your registered email for resolution.

      Thank You

    2. Dave Dave

I have the same problem. I’ve also worked with the support line (via the chat option), and have been unsuccessful at getting it set up or enabled. “The voicemail box number is invalid…”, yet, if I call my number, I can leave a voicemail, but have no way to go in and retrieve it.

  9. stacy stacy

When I go to voicemail it just disconnects me. I have tried dialing 1 and also the number 805-637-7243.

Not sure how to get my voicemails now. It has been working correctly until today. Please help!

    1. Hi Stacy,

Thank you for reaching out to us. This is something our technical teams are already working. For now. you can call “123” to access your voicemail.

I can’t seem to access my voicemail. When I try it immediately ends

Thank you, US Mobile team. I had issues with voice mail on my new phone and you persisted until we finally got it resolved. It turned out to be erroneous numbers in the “Call Forwarding” settings. You were courteous and called me to work on it when that became more efficient than our emailing. Very good service.

  12. Mike B Mike B

Any update on whether can be disabled? Ting offers this… so I’m told.

    1. Mike, If you are looking to get it completely disabled, unfortunately, this cannot be done at the moment. To disable the service temporarily, please call us or send us an email at [email protected] since there is a verification process involved so we won’t be able to resolve it here.

  13. Din Din

I used to be able to check my US Mobile voice mail on a Hangout/Google Voice web page, what happened?

    1. We’re sorry to hear about this, if you can reach out to us on [email protected] with your details we can try to assist you further, however, we would need to confirm if you are able to manually access your voicemail through your phone. We can’t provide assurance or support for third party applications. However, if you encounter issues with manually accessing your voicemail through your phone we can assist with that 🙂

      1. Din Din

I can access my voicemail from my phone just fine. I’m just cheap and used Hangout/Google Voice to save my minutes.

Does calling your voicemail use up minutes?

        1. If you’re able to access your voicemail through your phone fine that indicates that the service from US Mobile is working just fine. We would advise contacting Google Support for further troubleshooting. If we can be of further assistance, you can always get in touch via [email protected]

    1. Hey Steve,
Thanks for dropping us a line, we actually do have Visual Voicemail available for iPhones on our Super LTE Plans 🙂 As soon as we get Visual Voicemail available for additional platforms, we’ll update accordingly. Let us know at [email protected] if we can assist further!

  14. Angela Angela

Our phone does not leave any type of a prompt on the main screen when there is a new voice mail waiting. Is there some way to turn this feature on?

    1. Hi Angela!

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. A support team member will reach out to via email shortly. We appreciate your patience and cooperation.

I’m using GSM LTE. Is there some way to “manage” my Voicemail by dialing 805-637-7249 from another phone such as a land line? If not, how can I manage my voicemail from another phone?
Calling 805-637-7249 seems to only allow me to leave a message for myself, which I have no interest in doing. I tried pressing all kinds of keys like * and # and various digits. Nothing seems to put this into voicemail-management mode!

    1. To access voicemail from another line, call the phone number, let it ring till it goes to VM, then interrupt the greeting by pressing * and entering the PIN. You can also call 8056377243 > press * > enter 10 digit phone number > enter PIN to access your voicemail.

You can always reach out to our 24/7 support via call, chat and email to [email protected].
