What Taxes and Fees Will I Have to Pay with US Mobile?

We are obligated to collect taxes and regulatory fees on behalf of federal, state, and local governments. The only other thing is the monthly service, which is $2 on GSM LTE and $2 on Super LTE.

US Mobile will never add any hidden fees to your bills. If you see a charge that you don’t understand, please reach out to our Customer Support team at [email protected], by dialing 611 on your US Mobile phone, or chat with us.

You should have an option (like a fee calculator tool) based on the user location. This will clear out the confusion on that those federal, state and local government fees are.

    Check http://www.ooma.com/savings/ They have one.

    1. Thats a good suggestion. Taxes on US Mobile plans are easy to calculate though. Starting from $0.10, and almost never get over $0.50 for 30 days service.

Why do you show prices as monthly? You seem to bill every thirty days. Which is it? Just state the time frame clearly on your website. Due date constantly changes if every 30 days.

    1. Correct and thanks for the suggestion, let me forward it to the devs right away and hopefully this will be updated soon.

    1. Hi Connie,

Thank you for your question. The Service fee of $2 is charged only once a month at the time of bill payment.

  3. Kelly Kelly

Is there a line fee and a service fee both 2 dollars a piece? Or is there just one 2.00 fee for all the taxes and whatnot?

    1. Kelly,

The line fee is called as service fee and it is for $2.00 for 30 days. We only charge a small tax only on our talk plan which varies from 9 cents till 49.5 cents.

Hi! I was wondering if there is there normally a way for me to view my usage over the month? Thank you in advance for your help!

    1. Angela,

You can simply email us with your request at [email protected] and we will upload it on your dashboard for your viewing pleasure within 24 hours. Please email us with the plan and time frame (to and from period).

Are you saying that the dashboard doesn’t automatically show usage? How can one know how much they are using? I just ordered a phone and sim card so I’m not set up yet.

        1. Nadine, usage is updated every 30 minutes on the account dashboard. You can see the consumption in terms of percentage. You can also send an SMS saying “BAL” to 5115 and the returning SMS would give you complete picture of plans – active text plan required.

    1. Hi,

Please note that all US Mobile plans are valid for 30 days from the date of purchase. All unused plans (talk, text and data) will expire and cannot be added to the next month’s billing cycle.

Will you work with the new Galaxy 8?…….how about Voicemail, picture and video messaging, 3-way calling, caller ID, tethering, hotspot, etc. Can you unlock a Galaxy III from Virgin?.
    Thanks.

    1. Williams,

As to your query your Galaxy S8 should work fine with us provided that you it is fully unlocked. You can also insert exact model number at http://www.willmyphonework.net and it will tell you if it is compatible with our services. Moreover, we do support tethering and hotspot if your device supports it. Please note that we can change any caller ID to “Wireless caller” as we do not support customized caller IDs. Voicemail is a default feature which is available for all customers, we also support picture and video messaging provided that you have data plan provisioned.

When did the “Federal Universal Service Fund Estimate” ($0.10) turn into “Taxes and Fees” ($2.15)?

    1. Hey Mark! We used to be able to get away with charging just the Federal Universal Service Fund, but we’ve grown considerably in the past year and from April 2018 onward have become liable to collect various taxes and fees on behalf of state, federal and regulatory agencies. To keep things from getting confusing, they’ve been grouped together into the Regulatory Cost Recovery Fee heading, which includes but is not limited to the aforementioned FUSF. As you might have noticed, we have recently dropped our rates significantly to stay competitive and reduce the tax burden borne by our customers. Please email [email protected] if you have further questions.
