How can I activate my Apple Watch?

Activating your Apple Watch is a breeze! When activating, you'll have the option to choose between two modes:

Companion mode

Your iPhone and Apple Watch will share the same phone number, and you can easily make calls or send texts from either one.

Before you activate your Apple Watch in companion mode, make sure you already have a Warp line that's installed in a compatible iPhone.

Standalone mode

Your Apple Watch will have its own unique number separate from your iPhone. You can activate your watch in standalone mode, even if you don't have an active US Mobile line on your iPhone.

You will need an iPhone 6s or newer to activate an Apple Watch line. You won't be able to activate it using an iPad or another device.

Complimentary Apple Watch plan with Unlimited Premium

Your Unlimited Premium plan comes with a free Apple Watch companion mode add-on. Here's how you can set it up:

  1. Login to the website dashboard.

  2. Go to My Lines and select your Unlimited Premium Warp line that's active on your iPhone.

  3. On the line page, under Add Ons, click Start FREE next to Apple Watch Plan.

  4. Select your Companion Plan and Continue.

  5. Review your details and Checkout.

  6. Click on Start Activation.

  7. Enter the watch IMEI and click Continue.

  8. You're all set! Restart your watch and make sure both Cellular and Cellular Data are toggled on, and test out our services.

Buying the Companion Apple Watch plan

If you don't have an Unlimited Premium line, you can still buy the companion plan for your Apple Watch. Here's how you can do this:

  1. Login to the website dashboard.

  2. Click Add a New Line and select Smartwatch, then Apple Watch.

  3. Choose between an annual or monthly companion plan and click Continue.

  4. Review your order details, choose the payment method, and click Checkout.

  5. Click on Start Activation.

  6. Enter the watch IMEI and click Continue.

  7. Select the number that's installed in your iPhone and click Activate.

    If you only have one Warp line that's active on an iPhone, you can proceed without choosing the line number. We'll automatically select it for you.

  8. You're all set! Restart your watch and make sure both Cellular and Cellular Data are toggled on, and test out our services.

Buying the Standalone Apple Watch plan

If you'd like to purchase a standalone plan for your Apple Watch, here's what you can do:

  1. Login to the website dashboard.

  2. Click Add a New Line and select Smartwatch, then Apple Watch.

  3. Choose between an annual or monthly standalone plan and click Continue.

  4. Review your order details, choose the payment method, and click Checkout.

  5. Click on Start Activation.

  6. Enter the watch IMEI and click Continue.

  7. Choose to Transfer your number from another network or Get a new mobile number and click Continue.

  8. Enter the required details and click on Activate.

  9. You're all set! Time to setup your watch.


Setting up your Apple Watch for Standalone Mode

Once you've purchased the plan on our website, follow these steps to set up the standalone plan on your Apple Watch:

  1. Remove the existing cellular plan on your watch by going to General > Reset > Remove all cellular plans. Restart your watch after the plan is removed. 

    (You can ignore this step if there's no active cellular plan on your watch).

  2. Go to the Watch App and Click on Start pairing.

  3. When it asks you to set up the watch for yourself or a family member, select set up for family member. Then click on Add family member.

  4. Enter the iCloud email and password. This must be different than the one being used on the current iPhone.

  5. Click on Set-up cellular. Follow the on-screen instructions if you get a prompt to set up a cellular plan. Otherwise, it'll get automatically provisioned on the watch.

  6. Go to Settings > Cellular and confirm if the plan shows up.

    • Or from your iPhone, go to the Watch App > tap on your paired watch > cellular plan to check the status.
