Device Compatibility

US Mobile provides two SIM cards, Light speed (White SIM Card), Warp 5G (Black SIM Card), and Dark Star (Black & Red SIM Card). We recommend choosing your network according to the coverage in your area. You can check which network works best for you by putting in the zip code here

After you check which network works best for you, please double-check if your Kyocera phone is compatible.

Warp, Light Speed, and Dark Star

  1. If your Kyocera phone has the VoLTE feature and is not carrier-locked at present, it should be compatible

  2. With Light Speed and Dark Star, most Kyocera phones are compatible

  3. We recommend checking the compatibility of your Kyocera phone with our SIM cards by entering its IMEI here or reaching out to our support team

You can find the IMEI by dialing *#06# on your phone.

How to turn Data Roaming off

  1. From the main screen, select Menu.

    Utilize the 5-way navigation pad to highlight and the center button to select.

  2. Navigate: Tools & Settings > Settings > Wireless & networks > Cellular network/Mobile network

  3. Tap Data roaming access / International data roaming

  4. Tap Deny data roaming access

  5. Tap Set.

For Kyocera DuraTR, navigate: from home, press OK > Settings > Wireless & networks > More > Cellular networks > Roaming > Roaming settings. Turn all the roaming options off from here.

For Kyocera DuraForce Ultra and Kyocera DuraForce Pro 2, navigate: from the Apps launcher, tap Settings > Network & internet > Mobile / Cellular network. Turn all the roaming options off from here.

If Data roaming is switched off, the switch will be greyed out.

If your mobile data is turned off, the switch will be greyed out as well, and you won't be able to move the switch.

How to Change the Network Mode

  1. From the main screen, select Menu.

    Utilize the 5-way navigation pad to highlight and the OK button to select.

  2. Navigate: Tools & Settings > Settings > Wireless & networks > Cellular networks > Network mode.

    For Kyocera DuraXE Epic, navigate: Settings > Wireless & networks > More > Cellular networks > Network mode.

    For Kyocera DuraTR, navigate: from home, press OK > Settings > Wireless & networks > More > Cellular networks > Network mode.

    For Kyocera DuraForce Ultra and Kyocera DuraForce Pro 2, navigate: from the Apps launcher, tap Settings > Network & internet > Mobile / Cellular networks > Network mode.

  3. Select the desired mode.

How to enable VoLTE

  1. Dial *#*#4636#*#* on your phone's dial pad.

If options appear, choose the option to activate LTE mode.

For Kyocera DuraForce Ultra and Kyocera DuraForce Pro 2, navigate: from the Apps launcher, tap Settings > Advanced Calling. Turn HD Voice Calls On here.

How to Check if you have Wi-Fi turned off and cellular data turned on

  1. Turn off Wi-Fi:
    From the main screen, select Menu

    Utilize the 5-way navigation pad to highlight and the center button to select.

    Select Tools & Settings
    Select Settings
    Select Wireless & networks
    Select Wi-Fi
    Turn Wi-Fi off from here

    For Kyocera DuraTR, navigate: from home, press OK > Settings > Wireless & networks > Wi-Fi. Turn Wi-Fi off from here.

    For Kyocera DuraForce Ultra and Kyocera DuraForce Pro 2, navigate: from the Apps launcher, and tap Settings > Network & Internet > Wi-Fi. Turn Wi-Fi Off from here.

  2. Turn on Mobile Data:
    From the main screen, select Menu

    Utilize the 5-way navigation pad to highlight and the center button to select.

    Select Tools & Settings
    Select Settings
    Select Wireless & Networks
    Select Cellular Networks / Mobile Networks
    Select Mobile Data Access
    Highlight an option, select On, then select Set

    For Kyocera DuraTR, navigate: from home, press OK > Settings > Wireless & networks > Cellular Networks > Mobile Data Access. Turn it On here.

    For Kyocera DuraForce Ultra and Kyocera DuraForce Pro 2, navigate: from the Apps launcher, tap Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile / Cellular network > Mobile Data Access. Turn it On here.

How to Update the APN

For Kyocera Cadence LTE: As this is a feature phone, so APN issues are not found in this phone. APNs are configured automatically through OTA updates. For the OTA update, you can restart the phone. Make sure that you have mobile data enabled on your phone, and data should also be included in your plan to access it. Or make sure that the phone is connected to a working Wi-Fi connection.

  1. From the Idle screen, press the Center soft key [Menu] > Tools & Settings > Settings > Wireless & networks > Cellular / Mobile network > Access Point Names

  2. For resetting it to the default settings: Press the Right soft key [Options] > Reset to default. Press the Left soft key [Yes]

  3. Or highlight an access point you want to edit and press the Right soft key [Options] > Edit. Edit the necessary fields and press the Center soft key [Save]

For Kyocera DuraTR, navigate: from home, press OK > Settings > Wireless & networks > More > Cellular networks > Access Point Names.

For Kyocera DuraForce Ultra and Kyocera DuraForce Pro 2, navigate: from the Apps launcher, tap Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile / Cellular network > Access Point Names.

How to Manually search for network

  1. From the main screen, navigate Menu > Tools & Settings > Settings > Wireless & networks > Cellular networks / Mobile Network > Network operators.

    For Kyocera DuraForce Ultra and Kyocera DuraForce Pro 2, navigate: from the Apps launcher, tap Settings > Network & internet > Mobile / Cellular network > Network Operator.

  2. Search networks to search available networks

  3. Choose US Mobile

How to Turn OFF Wi-Fi calling

  1. From the Idle screen, press the Center soft key [Menu] > Tools & Settings >
    Settings > Call settings > Wi-Fi Calling settings > Wi-Fi Calling

  2. Highlight Off and press the Center soft key [Set]. Read the message and then
    select Turn off Wi-Fi Calling

For Kyocera DuraForce Ultra and Kyocera DuraForce Pro 2: From the Apps launcher, tap Settings > Advanced Calling > Wi-Fi Calling. Turn it Off.

How to Turn OFF Call forwarding (Warp only)

  1. Dial *73 to cancel call forwarding.

  2. Dial ##004# to turn off conditional call forwarding.

How to Make sure MMS / Group Messaging both are turned ON

  1. From the Idle screen, press the Right soft key [Message].

    For Kyocera DuraTR, navigate: from home, press OK > Messaging.

  2. Press the Right soft key [Options] > Settings.

  3. Select Auto-retrieve: Set it to On to automatically retrieve all your multimedia messages.

    When selected, the multimedia message header plus the message body and attachments will be automatically downloaded to your phone.

    For Kyocera DuraForce Ultra and Kyocera DuraForce Pro 2, open the messages app, tap the Menu icon (upper-left). Select Auto-retrieve: Set it to On to automatically retrieve all your multimedia messages.

How to Setup Hotspot

  1. From the Idle screen, press the Center soft key [Menu] > Tools & Settings > Settings > Wireless & networks > Tethering & Mobile Hotspot > Mobile Hotspot > Set up Mobile Hotspot.

  2. Highlight the Network name field and enter a new network name.

  3. If you want to hide your phone’s hotspot from others, highlight the box next to Hide my device and press the Left soft key [Check].

  4. Highlight the Security field and verify the security level is set to WPA2 PSK. To modify it, press the Left soft key [Set].

  5. Highlight the Password field and enter a new password. The password must have at least 8 characters.

  6. Highlight the Broadcast channel field, press the Left soft key [Set], and then select the channel number from the list.

  7. Press the Center soft key [Save].

For Kyocera DuraTR, navigate: from home, press OK > Settings > Wireless & networks > More > Tethering & Mobile Hotspot > Mobile Hotspot.

For Kyocera DuraForce Ultra and Kyocera DuraForce Pro 2, navigate from the Apps launcher, tap Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile Hotspot & tethering.
