How can I keep my number?
When you're switching carriers, you can take your number with you from the old carrier to the new one. That process is called 'porting your number'. Porting your number from another carrier to US Mobile is quick and simple, and you do it while activating your new line during the activation process.
We offer activation on a physical SIM card and e-SIM as well! For e-SIM compatible devices, you can get started right away but if you want a physical SIM card, you can order one from our shop page. Once you’ve ordered and received your starter kit, go to the activation page and follow the prompts.
To bring your number to US Mobile
Your current service carrier must allow it
The phone number should be active
There should be no outstanding payment against your number
The number should not be under any contract.
How do I transfer my number to US Mobile
Before you can bring in your number, you'll have to purchase a plan for your line. Here's how you can do this.
Once you purchase the plan, head on over to your My Lines page. You'll see a tile for the plan with a button to Activate my line! Click on it.
Choose your network between Dark Star, Warp, or Light Speed, and click continue.
Select whether you want to activate on an eSIM or a physical SIM card and click continue.
Select Transfer your number and click Continue to port in your number from another carrier.
Fill out the following information:
Enter your phone number
Choose your carrier from the drop-down list.
If you are unable to find your carrier, select Other and then type in the name of your carrier.
Enter your Account Number* (this is your account number with your current carrier)
Enter your Password or PIN* (this is the PIN that you use with your current carrier. If your carrier doesn't require a PIN, leave this blank)
Click Continue and follow the rest of the activation steps
Once you've completed the activation process, you'll be able to see the status of your port-in request. The line will also show up in your account.
Clicking More Details will show you the current status of your port request.
The porting process usually only takes a few minutes to complete but can take longer in some instances where the information entered is incorrect or there are some restrictions placed on transferring the number from your current carrier. Sit tight, and we'll email you when it's done, or if we need more information. Once it's complete, you can install the SIM/eSIM on your phone and start using our services!
