How do I upgrade from my Legacy Light Speed network?
Upgrading from the legacy Light Speed network is easy as pie. The first step is to make sure 2FA (Two-Factor Authentication) is set up on your account. Once you've done that, please follow these steps:
Login to your US Mobile dashboard.
Go to My lines and select your Light Speed line.
Click on Upgrade my Network.
Choose whether you want to switch to Dark Star or the Upgraded Light Speed network.
Now, choose between an eSIM or Physical SIM card and click Next
Upgrade using an eSIM
Click Activate on a saved device and choose your existing phone, and click Continue.
If you'd like to use a different phone, click Activate a new device and enter your phone's make and model.
Review the details and click Confirm Transfer.
Voila! Your upgrade is in process.
When the network upgrade is completed, you'll get a QR code on the dashboard and your email which you can scan to install the eSIM on your phone.
Upgrade using a Physical SIM card
If you've already received the SIM card, select I have a new SIM card.
If you don't have a physical SIM card yet, don't worry - we'll send you one for free. Just click on I need a new SIM card, enter your shipping details, and click Ship my SIM card.
Click on Activate on a saved device and choose your existing phone.
If you'd like to use a different phone, click Activate a new device and enter your phone's make and model.
Enter your SIM card number in the text box, and click Continue.
Review the details and click Confirm Transfer.
Voila! Your upgrade is in process.
We will send you an email once the network upgrade is completed. Once you receive the email, simply swap out your old SIM card for the new one on your phone and you'll be good to go.
