How do I transfer my number to eSIM?
Transitioning your number from a Physical SIM to an eSIM with US Mobile is a breeze, and the process is swift. You can even seamlessly transfer eSIMs between different devices.
Before we get started
Make sure Two Factor Authentication (2FA) is all set up on your US Mobile account.
Your device must be connected to the internet via WiFi.
Can be done once every hour, 3 times a day, and 6 times every 30-day cycle in total.
Your line will be available after eSIM install
The swap cannot be reversed immediately. You'll have to swap the line back once the cooldown period is over.
On the website:
Sign in to your US Mobile account.
Go to My Lines and select the line you want to transfer.
Select Transfer eSIM under Line Settings.
Not seeing the "Transfer eSIM option"?
If you're currently on the Legacy Light Speed network and looking for the Light Speed eSIM, here's the scoop – you'll need to upgrade your network first.
The good news? You can tackle both tasks simultaneously, moving to an eSIM while cruising through the network upgrade.
If you already have a US mobile line activated on the phone you'd like to use, click Activate on a saved device and choose your phone.
Otherwise,If you're on Warp, choose Enter the IMEI of a new device, type in your phone's IMEI-2, and click Authorize Transfer.
If you're on Light Speed or Dark Star, choose Activate a new device, type in your phone's make and model, and click Authorize Transfer.
Grab your new device, follow the native device instructions to activate an eSIM, give it 1-5 minutes, and voila, your eSIM is all set to use!
On the app:
Login to the US Mobile app. Download it for iOS here and for Android here.
Head over to Lines tab and tap on your line.
Scroll down to Line Settings, on the Plan Management dropdown, and tap on Transfer eSIM.
Type in the IMEI 2 of your new phone, and hit Authorize Transfer.
Grab your new device, follow the native device instructions to activate the eSIM, give it 1-5 minutes, and voila, your eSIM is all set to use!
iOS user can select 'Install eSIM now' to skip the process of scanning the QR code.
