Device compatibility
Most devices are compatible with our networks (especially devices made since 2013). Any unlocked phone or device that has a SIM card slot or is eSIM capable will most likely work with our services.
If you're activating an older device, verify that it's at least a 4G (LTE) device that supports VoLTE/HD Voice/Enhanced Calling by searching your device model online.
If you have any concerns about bringing an older device (manufactured before 2013), have your device model ready and feel free to contact us to check your compatibility.
Carrier locks on devices
If you purchased your phone from your previous carrier as a part of a promotion or contract then your device might still be locked to that carrier. What does that mean? It means you can't use your device on any other carrier until that lock is lifted.
Checking device carrier lock status
Only your carrier can confirm the lock status on your phone, though you can also try to check on your device.
- Android
- iPhone
Go to Settings > Connections > Mobile Networks > Network Operators and select Search. If the names of other carriers come up, your phone is likely unlocked and ready to be used anywhere.
Go to Settings > General > About and check the message under Carrier Lock. If you view No Restrictions, your phone is likely unlocked and ready to be used anywhere.
Unlocking a device
To unlock a device, follow the instructions from the carrier you purchased it from. We've linked their support articles here for devices purchased from AT&T, T-Mobile, or Verizon.
