5G-enabled devices can expect fast 5G speeds in areas where 5G networks are available. Dynamic Spectrum-Sharing (DSS) technology means that your device will run simultaneously on 4G LTE networks.
We offer 5G speeds over both of our networks, depending on coverage and compatibility of both device hardware and up-to-date software.

Switching to US Mobile's plans is quick and simple. You don't have to buy a new phone, since you can bring your device to US Mobile. You can keep your old number. Currently, you can make international calls to 200+ destinations on either of our networks. It is included on all our annual plans, on our By the Gig shareable plans, and on our monthly Premium plan. International calling can also be purchased as an add-on on our Light and Monthly Starter plan. Note that international calling only works on our domestic (US) SIMs; if you have purchased one of our international data eSIMs, those do not support calling.
You need a 5G-enabled device (like an iPhone 12 or a Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra) and need to be in an area where your network of choice (Dark Star, Warp, or Light Speed) has 5G coverage. This coverage area will expand in the months and years to come, so we’ll keep you posted.

Warp Speed 5G uses technology like millimeter wave (mmWave) and Massive MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) to transmit more data more efficiently. mmWave is a new type of frequency band that uses much smaller wavelengths to transmit data. Smaller wavelengths means more data can be transmitted in the same amount of time. Massive MIMO—an expansion of MIMO that was used to get Ludicrous speeds on LTE—not only uses a lot more (massive) number of antennas concentrated together but also more complex designs to focus energy. Where available, these technologies work in conjunction with more antennas that are even more sophisticated antennas in some devices to get you Warp Speeds.
