To make international calls with Cricket, you’ll need the Cricket International Long Distance Calling feature or one of the Individual Country Add-Ons. If you’ve got one of the grandfathered features like Cricket Passport or Aio International, those will also work!
Which Countries Are Included?
If you have Cricket’s Unlimited plans (and some grandfathered plans over $50/month), you can enjoy:
- Unlimited text messages from the U.S. to 37 countries
- Unlimited calling to landlines and mobile phones in Mexico and Canada (just a heads up: Northern Territories are not included)
- Unlimited messaging (SMS & MMS) between the U.S., Mexico, and Canada
Just like that, you can connect with friends in Canada and Mexico worry-free!
Can I Mix and Match Features?
Great news! You can have both the Cricket International and Cricket International Extra features on your line, but since Cricket International is included in Cricket International Extra, you only need one at a time. If you already have an active international feature, like the ones mentioned, you’ll need to remove it before adding a new feature.
Individual Country Add-Ons
If you only need to call or text one specific country frequently, look into the Individual Country Add-Ons. This option is great for keeping your costs low while connecting with loved ones in Latin America and the Caribbean!
Dialing Internationally
Ready to make that call? Dialing internationally with Cricket is straightforward. Just press the + sign or 011, followed by the destination country code and the number you want to call. For many devices, hitting and holding the 0 key will give you the + sign. If you’re unsure of the country code, just look it up online!
Additional Features While Traveling
If you’re traveling and want to stay connected, remember that you can only use Visual Voicemail while in Mexico and Canada—and only if you’re on one of the Cricket Unlimited plans with Visual Voicemail activated. Plus, your Mobile Hotspot feature is available in Mexico and Canada, provided you’ve added it to your Unlimited plan.
