As a survivor of domestic violence, keeping your existing phone number and staying connected should be the least of your worries. T-Mobile is here to help! Let’s walk through the steps to ensure you stay connected without hassle.
Providing Safe Device Access
First things first, if you are a survivor of domestic violence, reach out to T-Mobile Customer Service. You can call them at 1-877-746-0909 or simply dial 611 from your T-Mobile phone. Alternatively, visit a T-Mobile retail location for in-person assistance. If you have hearing or sight impairments, TTY service is available by calling 1-877-296-1018.
If you are not in New York State, don’t worry. T-Mobile will require additional documentation to process your request. After you’ve contacted T-Mobile, provide any one of the following documents:
- Signed affidavit from a licensed medical or mental healthcare provider; victim services provider, or a court employee acting within their scope of employment
- Police report or police statements provided to Magistrates/judges
- Charging documents
- Court orders
- Protective or restraining orders
- Any other official record that documents the domestic violence

Local Domestic Abuse Shelters
These shelters are located nationwide and provide victims a place to escape their abuser. Apart from shelter, they offer support groups, crisis counseling, or safety planning assistance. Find a nearby domestic violence shelter if you need immediate help.
