Porting out of US Mobile
Leaving US Mobile is easy — we don't bind you by any contracts or conditions. All you need to do is stop renewing your line and turn off AutoPay if it's active, and your line will eventually be suspended.
Your account will still be there, so you won't have to create a new one if you ever decide to come back. If you want to close your account completely, reach out to us and we'll delete it permanently.
When you transfer your number out of US Mobile, any remaining days in your current billing cycle are forfeited. No prorated credit is issued. If you're near the start of a new cycle, consider waiting until closer to your renewal date before initiating the transfer.
Steps to remove your payment methods
- Sign in to your account. You'll land on the account dashboard.
- Select Settings from the menu on the left and go to Billing
- The Billing page lets you update your account information and shows your complete order history
- Select the small delete icon next to an existing card to remove it
Getting your account number and transfer PIN
Your new carrier will ask for your US Mobile account number and a transfer PIN when you initiate the number transfer.
To get your account number:
- Sign in to your US Mobile dashboard
- Go to Settings → Account
- Your account number is listed there
To get your transfer PIN:
Contact us and we'll generate one for you. We don't provide transfer PINs in the app for security reasons and will require you to verify your identity before issuing one.
Will I lose my number if I don't pay the bill?
If your plan expires and you don't renew, your line will be disconnected after 30 days. Your number is then held for up to 90 days before being put back into recirculation — so you have a window to reactivate and recover it during this time.
You can Snooze your line to keep your number with us while not having any cellular plan. Follow the instructions on our guide to pause your plan
