Wi-Fi calling
Wi-Fi calling lets you make and receive calls over a Wi-Fi network when cellular coverage is limited. Setting it up takes just a few minutes and works on both iOS and Android devices.

Setting up Wi-Fi calling on iOS and Android is straightforward. Follow the steps below to turn it on:
To turn on Wi-Fi calling, you need to be within the US in a coverage area.
iOS
To set up Wi-Fi calling on most iPhones:
- On your iPhone, go to Settings > Cellular.
- If your iPhone has Dual SIM, choose a line (below Cellular Plans).
- Select Wi-Fi Calling, then turn on Wi-Fi Calling on This iPhone.
- Enter or confirm your address for emergency services.
Your iPhone is now ready for Wi-Fi calls.
Android
To set up Wi-Fi calling on most Android phones:
- Go to Settings > Network & Internet.
- Select SIMs and select your US Mobile line.
- Find Wi-Fi Calling and turn it on.
- Enter or confirm your address for emergency services.
Your phone is now ready for Wi-Fi calls. You'll want to configure your Wi-Fi preferences now.
Light Speed
To turn on Wi-Fi calling on the Light Speed network:

Sign in to your dashboard and go to My Lines.

Select the line you want to turn on Wi-Fi calling for.

Under Line Settings, select Connectivity Tools to expand it, then select Wi-Fi Calling.

Enter the e911 address.
infoThe e911 address is the address sent to emergency services when a 911 call is placed. Providing an accurate address helps ensure a timely response in an emergency.

Select Enable Wi-Fi Calling.

Once done, go to your phone's settings and turn on the Wi-Fi calling toggle.
Setting Wi-Fi calling preferences
To set your calling preferences:
- Select Wi-Fi Calling (not the green slider button)
- Select Connection preferences
- Choose from one of the options below:
- Wi-Fi preferred — the phone connects to Wi-Fi when both cellular and Wi-Fi are available
- Cellular preferred — the phone connects to cellular when both cellular and Wi-Fi are available
- Never use cellular network — your phone only uses Wi-Fi networks for calls
