Setting up voicemail
Follow the steps below for your network.
Light Speed
- Call 123
- If prompted for a password, enter the last four digits of your phone number
- Create a new 4–7 digit password
- Record your greeting and name
Warp
- Call *86
- If prompted for a password, enter the last four digits of your phone number
- Create a new 4–7 digit password
- Record your greeting and name
Dark Star

Setting up Visual Voicemail
Visual Voicemail loads over mobile data. Before troubleshooting any Visual Voicemail issue, turn Wi-Fi off and confirm that your mobile data is on.
On Light Speed, Visual Voicemail requires a SIM card delivered after July 9, 2021. For Android on Light Speed, download the My Visual Voicemail app.
iPhone
If you're on Dark Star, Visual Voicemail requires iOS 18.5 or newer. Update your iPhone before setting up if you haven't already.
- Open the Phone app and select the Voicemail tab
- Select Set Up Now
- Create a voicemail password and select Done, then confirm it
- Choose Custom or Default greeting, then select Done
Android

Open the Phone app > Menu > Settings

Select Voicemail (or Call Settings > Voicemail)

Turn Visual Voicemail on or off
noteIf the toggle isn't visible, select Notifications.
Accessing your voicemail
Light Speed
- Call 123
- Press 1 to listen to new messages; press 1 to replay
- Press # to skip, 7 to delete, 9 to save for 30 days
- Press * twice to return to the main menu
- Press 5 from the main menu to change your password
Warp
- Call *86
- Press 1 to play messages
- Press # to skip, 7 to delete, 9 to save
- Press * to return to the main menu
- Press 4 > 1 > 1 for personal options (notifications, password)
Dark Star
- Call *98 or press and hold 1
- Enter your password — new messages play automatically
- Press 9 to save, 7 to delete, 0 > 4 to replay
- Press * for the main menu
Checking voicemail from another phone
Any landline long-distance fees are the responsibility of the account owner.
Light Speed
- Call 1-805-637-7249
- Enter your 10-digit mobile number
- Press * to skip the greeting
- Enter your password and follow the prompts
Warp
- Call your cell phone from another line and let it ring to voicemail
- Press # when you hear the greeting
- Enter your password and follow the prompts
Dark Star
- Call your cell phone from another line and let it ring to voicemail
- Press * when you hear the greeting
- Enter your password and follow the prompts
Voicemail for home phones
Your home phone diverts calls to voicemail when you're unavailable. A pending voicemail is indicated by a flashing LED on the home phone base and an intermittent dial tone.
To access voicemail, press and hold 1 on the dialer, or dial *86 on the connected handset. Wait about 12 seconds to connect. Enter your password if prompted, then follow the prompts to set options or listen to messages.
Resetting your voicemail password
Light Speed
Dial #PWD# (#793#) from your phone. Your password resets to the last 4 digits of your number.
To change it after resetting: dial 123, then press 5 > 1 in the main menu.
Warp
- Sign in and go to My Lines
- Select your line > Connectivity Tools > Voicemail
- Select Reset Mailbox Password and confirm
The default password after reset is 1234. Change it by dialing *86.
Dark Star
Contact customer support to reset your Dark Star voicemail password. Note that this will erase all voicemails.
Troubleshooting
Before anything else:
- Make sure voicemail is set up on your line
- Confirm you have good signal (3+ bars)
- For Visual Voicemail: turn Wi-Fi off and mobile data on (see the callout at the top of the Visual Voicemail section above)
- Light Speed SIM cards delivered before June 9, 2021 don't support Visual Voicemail — order a new SIM if needed
Visual Voicemail not appearing after eSIM activation (iPhone)
If you activated a new eSIM and Visual Voicemail isn't showing up, a network settings reset usually fixes it:
- Go to Settings → General → Transfer or Reset iPhone → Reset
- Select Reset Network Settings and confirm
- Your phone will restart — re-enter any saved Wi-Fi passwords
- Open the Phone app and check the Voicemail tab again
Light Speed
Dial 123 and press and hold 1 or *. If that fails, dial your own number. If you hear a ring, busy signal, or error, press 7.
Warp
Check that call forwarding is turned off by dialing *73. To manage voicemail notifications, call *86 and navigate to personal options.
Dark Star
Press and hold 1 on the dial pad and follow the prompts to create a new voicemail box.
Red dot notification on iPhone (no unread messages)
- Call your number from another phone and leave a test voicemail
- Dial *86 from your phone, listen to the message, and delete it
- Restart your phone
