| How you pay | Mint Unlimited | Visible | US Mobile Starter |
|---|---|---|---|
| Month to month | Not offered | $300 ($25 × 12), or $228 with HOLIDAYHACK | $300 ($25 × 12) |

In year one, Mint’s new-customer price makes it the cheapest unlimited line of the three, though it’s the only one that adds taxes on top. After that first term, Mint Unlimited’s regular 12-month price is $360, the most expensive of the three. More budget picks in our cheap phone plans guide.
Network: T-Mobile (Mint) vs Verizon (Visible)
Mint says on its coverage page that it’s on the T-Mobile network, and Visible runs on Verizon’s. So picking between them is mostly picking between T-Mobile and Verizon where you live.
We don’t rate coverage ourselves. Check both maps for your address, and look at independent results from Ookla’s Speedtest reports and Opensignal for your area. Our T-Mobile vs Verizon comparison covers the two networks head to head.
Hotspot: The Biggest Difference
This is where the two really split. Every Visible plan includes unlimited hotspot, but at a capped speed: 5 Mbps on Visible, 10 on Visible+ and 15 on Visible+ Pro. That’s fine for email and browsing on a laptop, slow for video calls or big downloads. Mint Unlimited gives you 20GB of hotspot instead. US Mobile Unlimited Starter also includes 20GB, and Premium includes unlimited hotspot on one of its networks.
So: lots of light tethering, Visible. Shorter bursts of heavier use, a 20GB allowance. For heavy hotspot users, see the best unlimited data plan roundup.
The Third Option: US Mobile
🏆 Consumer Reports Top Rated 2026Mint and Visible each lock you to one network. US Mobile gives every line access to all three major US wireless networks, month to month, and it’s named a Consumer Reports Top Rated Cell Phone Service Provider (2026).
