Home phone plans

Setting up a US Mobile Home Phone plan lets you connect a traditional cordless phone using our cellular network — no landline required. Follow the steps below to purchase, activate, and set up your Home Phone.

Getting a Home Phone Base Station​

You can purchase a Home Phone Base Station (or one bundled with a cordless phone) from our website. You'll need both the Base Station and a cordless phone to use your home phone.

You can bring your own cordless phone, as long as it's compatible with a RJ11 jack.

  1. Sign in to your US Mobile Account Dashboard.
  2. From the sidebar, select Shop Devices.
  3. Select whether you want the Home Phone Base + Cordless Phone Combo or the Home Phone Base only.
  4. Select between an Annual or Monthly plan and select Continue.
  5. Review your order details and select Checkout.

Activating the Home Phone plan​

Once you've received the device, you can activate it by following the steps below:

  1. Sign in to your US Mobile Account Dashboard.
  2. From the sidebar, select Activate Home Phone.
  3. Choose your preferred network and select Continue.
  4. Enter your SIM card number and select Continue.
  5. Choose whether you want to get a new number or transfer an existing one.
  6. Enter your account number, PIN, and other required information and select Continue.
  7. Select Activate.

If your Home Phone Base Station has already been delivered, you'll find a Home Phone tile on your dashboard with an Activate Now button. You can also select this tile to continue with activation.

Once complete, activation takes around 5-10 minutes to finish for new lines or up to 48 hours for port-ins. You can check your activation status on your line dashboard.

Set up your new Home Phone plan​

Once your home phone arrives, make sure you've activated the plan. After activation, insert the SIM card and you're ready to start using it.

Insert the SIM card​

  1. Grab the US Mobile SIM card and pop out the nano-SIM (the smallest one).
  2. Take your ATEL home phone base and remove the back cover.
  3. Carefully lift the battery holder from the side to reveal the SIM slot.
  4. Insert the SIM card into the slot with the metal side facing downward.

Insert the batteries​

  1. Put the battery holder back in place, and insert the 3 AA batteries into the slots.
  2. Pop the back cover back onto the device.

Install the antenna​

  1. Twist off the rubber nub at the back of the device to reveal the antenna connector.
  2. Attach the antenna to the device by screwing it clockwise in place.

Plug in your Base Station​

  1. Plug in the power cord to the USB-C connector on the device.
  2. Plug in the other end of the cord into the wall adapter.
  3. Plug in the wall adapter into a socket and turn it on.

Turn on the device​

  1. Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds to turn it on.

Attach the telephone​

  1. Plug one end of the telephone cord into either of the two RJ11 ports on the device.
  2. Connect the other end of the cord into your telephone.
