This is the October 2026 edition of our AT&T vs Visible comparison. For the version we keep up to date, see the main article.

What’s New in the October 2026 Edition

Every price in this edition was read on the carriers’ own sites and FCC Broadband Facts labels on . Where those pages differ from our August 2026 edition, the figures below replace it.

  • With code 5OFF5 on monthly billing, Visible+ is $30/mo and Visible+ Pro $40/mo for 5 years, then $35 and $45. Taxes are included.
  • AT&T’s AutoPay discount is $10 a line with a bank account but only $5 with a debit card, and AT&T adds a fee of up to $4.99 a line and a $35 activation fee.
  • US Mobile: port in a number with code FBF10 and Unlimited Starter is $10/mo for the first 6 months (then $25); code FBF20 makes Unlimited Premium $20/mo for 6 months (then $44). Limit 5 per household.
Quick Answer Visible is half AT&T’s price: $25/mo with taxes included against AT&T Value 2.0 at $50/mo with AutoPay plus taxes and fees. Visible also includes unlimited hotspot (capped at 5 Mbps on the base plan); AT&T Value 2.0 includes 3GB. AT&T’s edge is retail stores and higher hotspot allowances on its pricier plans. US Mobile Unlimited Starter matches Visible at $25/mo, with 20GB of hotspot and access to all three major US wireless networks. US Mobile is named a Consumer Reports Top Rated Cell Phone Service Provider (2026). Consumer Reports does not endorse products or services.

AT&T’s AutoPay price needs a bank account or AT&T’s own card; debit card AutoPay is $5 off instead of $10. Visible’s plus tiers add 5G Ultra Wideband. With code 5OFF5, Visible+ is $30/mo and Visible+ Pro $40/mo for 5 years on monthly billing, then the regular price.

The price gap is wide at every tier. Even AT&T’s Elite 2.0, at $110/mo with AutoPay, costs more than double Visible+ Pro. For how every carrier stacks up, see the AT&T vs Verizon vs T-Mobile comparison.

AT&T vs Visible: Network Coverage

This one’s unusual: the two carriers don’t share a network. AT&T runs its own network, and Visible runs on Verizon’s. So the real coverage question is AT&T vs Verizon where you live and work.

We don’t rate coverage ourselves. Check both maps for your address, and look at independent results from Ookla’s Speedtest reports and Opensignal for your area. Our AT&T vs Verizon page goes deeper on the two networks.

AT&T’s clearest non-network advantage is physical stores. Visible is sold online.

How We Compared AT&T and Visible

US Mobile wrote this comparison and is one of the carriers in it. Every price was read on the carrier’s own plan pages or FCC Broadband Facts labels on , and we saved screenshots of those pages. Where a carrier doesn’t publish something, we say “Carrier does not say” rather than guess. The first-year cost table adds only published prices and fees; your taxes depend on your address. The previous edition is the August 2026 edition, and the main article is updated as prices change.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is AT&T or Visible better in 2026?

For most people, Visible: $25/mo with taxes included, against AT&T Value 2.0 at $50/mo with AutoPay before taxes, which has just 5GB of full-speed data. AT&T makes sense if you want stores or a lot of full-speed hotspot, like Elite 2.0’s 250GB at $110/mo with AutoPay.

Why is AT&T so much more expensive than Visible?

AT&T is a full-service postpaid carrier with its own network and retail stores, and it adds taxes, a fee of up to $4.99 a line and a $35 activation fee on top of its plan prices. Visible is an online brand that runs on Verizon’s network with taxes included, so the $25 you see is what you pay.

Does Visible use AT&T’s network?

No. Visible runs on Verizon’s network, so choosing between them is really choosing between AT&T’s and Verizon’s coverage where you live. If you specifically want AT&T’s network for less, Cricket Wireless runs on it, from $35/mo ($30 with AutoPay) with taxes included.

Is AT&T’s coverage better than Visible’s?

It depends on where you are, because they use different networks: AT&T’s own and Verizon’s. We don’t rate coverage ourselves. Check both carriers’ maps for your address and independent tests from Ookla and Opensignal, then pick the network that’s strongest where you spend your time.

Can I get AT&T’s network without AT&T’s prices?

Yes. Cricket Wireless runs on AT&T’s network and includes taxes: Sensible 10GB is $35/mo ($30 with AutoPay) and Select Unlimited is $40/mo ($35 with AutoPay). In-store activation costs $25 a line, so signing up online saves a little more.

Does AT&T or Visible have hotspot?

Both do. Every Visible plan has unlimited hotspot, capped at 5, 10 or 15 Mbps depending on the tier. AT&T’s depends on the plan: 3GB on Value 2.0, 50GB on Extra 2.0, 100GB on Premium 2.0 and 250GB on Elite 2.0. US Mobile Unlimited Starter includes 20GB.

Should I switch from AT&T to Visible?

If price is the reason, probably. A single AT&T Value 2.0 line is $50/mo with AutoPay before taxes; Visible is $25/mo with taxes included, a saving of at least $300 a year. Check Verizon’s coverage at your address first, since that’s the network Visible uses. US Mobile is another $25 option, with access to all three major US wireless networks.

Does AT&T include taxes in their prices?

No. AT&T’s plan prices exclude taxes, and AT&T adds its own monthly fee of up to $4.99 a line plus a $35 activation fee per line. The advertised price also assumes AutoPay with a bank account or AT&T’s card; debit card AutoPay saves $5 instead of $10.

What is the best alternative to both AT&T and Visible?

US Mobile, named a Consumer Reports Top Rated Cell Phone Service Provider (2026). Consumer Reports does not endorse products or services. Unlimited Starter is $25/mo with taxes included and 20GB of hotspot, and every line gets access to all three major US wireless networks. Premium ($44/mo) adds priority data and roaming in 180+ countries.
